ESPN once broadcasted nascar races from 1961 as Abc to 2002 for the first run. After gaining rights from NBC to brodcast NASCAR races beginning in 2007 ESPN gained access to broadcast all of the NASCAR Busch series races ( Now xfinity Series) and the second half of the Sprint cup series season beginning with the brickyard 400 and lasting to the ford EcoBoost 400. NASCAR broadcasting on ESPN ended on November 16th 2014.
